Passports by Radio transmission
(E-Business , 10/2001)
„The Polish authorities put their trust in radio transmission and their civil servants use mobile phones, but not for phoning. 2,500 Polish cities use the GSM network to transmit data from applications for passports to the Polish Ministry of the Interior with a PC establishing the connection with a mobile phone. The Berlin-based adisoft that is responsible for the software asserts that this form of data transmission overtaxed Poland 's old fixed network, although the company doesn't want to say anything else because the Polish govern swore it to secrecy. By the way, Germany 's Federal Bureau of Investigation has already checked the security of this technique."
